Australia, TMG, review ...

jerome
Hi,

Does someone know if there was a Gramps' review in Australia, recently?

According to stats[1], something occurs in Australia!

End of TMG support?
A review?
Sam having shared its enthusiasm?

There's been an unprecedented number of registrations for the wiki with
references to Australia.  Not sure what is going on...

I know the reason for this.

There was a really good AU-based WDYTYA spoof, the other day, that took a
shot at Ancestry's advertising, and it mentioned Gramps as a good
alternative to Ancestry's member trees. It really was a good laugh, so if
you haven't already seen it then I recommend you all do:

Best advertising, ever.

I did sign up a few years ago to try that free two weeks. I think it took me two weeks to get it cancelled. In the end, I had to cancel via a phone call, after being put on wait for very long time, and explaining myself.

Re : Fwd: Australia, TMG, review ...

... and some days ago, "old" releases or files hosted
under SourceForge, moved to 'OldFiles' directory archive[1] !

So, most download should be a stable release for any branches. :-)

 Hi Jerome,

 What a good laugh, wonderful
of them to recommend Gramps, thank you to "The
Checkout" & ABC TV Staff and Crew.

 Purely coincidental me
 updating the download page a few days before the broadcast;
 for clarity.

I'm part of a Facebook Group "Genealogy Do-Over" of which there are a few Aussie's, we were talking about Gramps in there, maybe a few signed on?  I had been trying to run Gramps for a few years and finally have it working and playing nice with my Mac so I'll be pushing it now :)
