Bug report: place editor buttons not greyed out

Jochen123
Hi!

Gramps 2.0.9 (Debian pkg 2.0.9-1). Place Editor Dialog Box. Tabs "Other
Names", "Sources", "Gallery", and "Internet". Buttons "-", etc.
should be greyed out if there is nothing selected (or nothing to
select).

Thanks for your report!

I looked into it, and it would take a lot of changes to the stable
version to get this cleanly and consistently done. Unfortunately,
this type of enabling/disabling buttons was not done uniformly,
but rather in a haphazard fashion in 2.0.x.

We decided to let it stay unfixed in 2.0.x series, but we will
definitely have it right in 2.2. In 2.2, all the editor's tabs
with lists will be done centrally, so this only has to be done once.

I think it's OK to have it unfixed in 2.0.x tree since it really does
no major harm, except being inconsistent UI. Hopefully we will release
2.2 soon so it's not for long.
