Creating Chart

L.W.
hi,

is it possible to create a graphical chart which shows all relatives to
a selected person including all siblings of the selected family tree /
line till the last ancestor?

i.e. i select a person A, and i only want to show all relatives on
fathers branch including every person in the database related to person
A on this father's branch - all siblings and all descendants of all
ancestors and all siblings to A.

i do want also display name (full), dates, places, image.

Best Regards

Yes, set up a filter (or a series of filters) to select the people that
you want in the chart, then use a relationship graph.

Re: Creating Chart

Peter Hewett-2

There is lots of information about custom filters in the wiki
https://www.gramps-project.org/wiki/index.php?title=Gramps_5.0_Wiki_Manual_-_Filters

When gramps is in the people or relationship view (select on the left
panel), then under the edit menu, select person filter editor
Here you can create a custom filter. In your case, you might use two
filters;
filter 1 - ancestors of the selected person

filter 2 (three rules, select any rule applies in options)
- people matching filter 1 (in general filters)
- siblings of filter 1 (in family filters)
- spouses of filter 1 (in family filters)

Then run the relationship graph
In the menu bar, Reports > Graphs > relationship graph
Be sure to select filter 2 on the report options tab.
Also select other options, such as paper size, output format, etc.

The custom filters are very flexible, but can be a bit complicated to
use, so ask questions if you are unsure.
