Gramps 4.2.3-1 Narrated Web issues

Simon C. Tremblay
Hi all,

First, thanks to the team for providing the Windows versions of Gramps 4.2.3 so quickly. I installed it yesterday on my 2 PCs, a 32 and a 64 bit Windows 10.  All went smooth on the install side and at first glance everything works fine.

Two issues I did notice about in the Narrated Web report:
- In the Individual tab, under each last name, the people are listed by their gramps ID and not alphabetically.
- In a detailed view of an individual, the thumbnails image links of the citation documents are broken.  When I show the path of the thumbnail, I get <webtree>/ppl/f/2/thumb/4/b/d04206a74b810d226b4.png.

When I look the same image in the Thumbnails tab of the site, the image is located <webtree>/thumb/4/b/d04206a74b810d226b4.png.

When generating the report with Gramps 4.2.1, the path is <webtree>/thumb/4/b/d04206a74b810d226b4.png for
<webtree>/thumb/4/b/d04206a74b810d226b4.png

Before I open bug reports, can anyone else confirm these two issues?

Regards

Simon

Hi all,
it's really great to have the new AIO really soon after the release. Thanx.

My comments are below (trials with GrampsAIO64-4.2.3-1 on Win 10 Prof

I don't find any link to somewhere in ..\thumb\.. or a broken link
All thumbnails I found (also on a Sources page) are linked to ..\img\..
Beside Source References on an individuals page I don't have thumbnails.
But I have an folder thumb with content
May I have a better description how to reproduce, please.

OK, I tried the 'generate thumbnails only' check box (I never used
before). Then I get all images as thumbnails by a HTML internal link like:

"thumb/5/c/b04a13be75402a8a2c5.png
<view-source:file:///D:/GrampsWeb/Gramps423/thumb/5/c/b04a13be75402a8a2c5.png>"

and the images are embedded into the page. That's OK for me. A link to a
small thumb doesn't help me.
I wonder if the thumb folder is also available if I don't want to have
thumbnails only.

BTW: I run Gramps by a batch in a cmd-box using grampsd.exe.
It seems to me the exe doesn't terminate correct after closing Gramps in
a normal way! The cmd-box is still pending as before without changes. If
I use Ctrl-C in the box I get a message 'Das Handle ist ungültig' (wrong
handle) and the program is now back at the batch level.
Can you verify this please.

Re: Gramps 4.2.3-1 Narrated Web issues

Hi Helge,

I do not have that option checked, only the one that says "include images and media objects".

I opened a bug report https://gramps-project.org/bugs/view.php?id=9377 and attached some screenshots.
