Gramps 5.0 start & exit

L.W.
i exited gramps normal via menu -> exit.

after restarting, gramps startsup (taskmanager) and 1 sec. later it
disappears, i found this in the log-file:

is this the reason for crashing?

is there a save load mode or something similar?

Re: Gramps 5.0 start & exit

L.W.
after a lot of research i found the problem in place_formats.xml

during my work with gramps i added a new place format with a ß in the name.

i opened the file with notepad++ (utf-8) and instead of a ß i see "xDF" ...

Thanks for investigating.

I forgot to specify the utf-8 encoding when writing the file.  It will
be fixed in v5.0.1.

Nick.
