A fully up-to-date Xubuntu 16.04.
Network Chart 0.0.7 installed cleanly a while back.

Correct. Presumably because it's not a
run-time error.

Yup. Same error when changing the 10 to a 5, and when using the sample data. My Gramps is also set to Dutch. On 4 February 2018 at 00:37, Perditorum <[hidden email]> wrote:

Yup. Note that there was also an
installation error with v0.0.2 back in April 2017
(https://sourceforge.net/p/gramps/mailman/message/35800161/)
caused by a missing dependency. Back then, I had to install
python3-networkx. Maybe v0.0.8 adds another dependency?

It appears that the issue was that pygraphviz wasn't installed. This was done with: sudo pip3 install pygraphviz Now Gramps doesn't give that Network Chart error on startup. ------------------------ From: Peter Hewett <[hidden email]> Date: Sun, 4 Feb 2018 19:26:40 +1300 To: [hidden email] Subject: Re: [Gramps-users] Network Chart 0.0.8 installation error > > Here, Gramps 4.2.6 is running on Kubuntu 17.10, with all current > updates. The solution for Debian-based systems (Ubuntu 16.04 is what I use) is to install python3-pygraphviz. Hi Ron,
Pygraphziv and newotkx are indeed prerequisites to use nework chart but unfortunately this is not the right solution for this problem. When I run this script with system default is set to American English I don't have this problem. But when I set my system to Dutch environment the script ends with that strange error message 'TypeError: _display_gregorian() got an unexpected keyword argument 'inflect''. So I guess it has something to do with localization. Best regards, Jan On 02/04/2018 09:51 AM, Ron Johnson wrote:

The obvious answer is to speak English!!! :) But seriously... the subject of this thread is "installation error", and the problem you have is a run-time error after it's successfully installed. On 02/04/2018 05:16 AM, Perditorum wrote:
