Niggle with Bug Tracker

Doug
One or two bugs I reported and have been tracking are marked
as RESOLVED. This seems to disable the Notes section; so
although I've been asked to test the fix, I can't report the
result (e.g. bug #6496).
Am I missing something, or how do I add the result?

If the fix is not working, then reopen the bug. Otherwise, leave as is.

When a bug is resolved, if you want to fix anything in the bug report (e.g. assign it to the correct target version or Fixed in version so it goes in the correct Roadmap, or add some relevant comment), then you have to re-open the bug, make the change and close it again.

Once I have reopened it, I often find it most convenient to click the 'Edit' button, so I can make all the necessary changes and set it to Resolved again all at once.

When a bug is resolved, if you want to fix anything in the bug report (e.g.

button, so I can make all the necessary changes and set it to Resolved again
all at once.

I don't know if a 'reporter' login can do those things, certainly not put on resolved as that would be security risk :-).
The submitter of the bug should be able to reopen his bugs though, so that will work.
