Postgres addon DB credentials

Suncatcher
Hi,
I use Postgre addon with remote DB and I am prompted for credentials each
time I start Gramps. How to store them somewhere not to type each time? Is
there any conf-fiel related to this addon?

I have a Linux installation. Where is this file located in Linux?

What happens if you add entries for the user & password below the "port=" entry for that databases setting.ini file?

eg:
\gramps\grampsdb\[random_database_string]\settings.ini
.............................................
;; Gramps key file
;; Automatically created at 2018/05/26 15:05:12

[database]
dbname='Family Tree 1'
;;host='myhostname'
;;port='5235'
user='testusername'
password='MyPassWord'
.............................................

I entered the credentials in this file but that didn't help. It prompts me anyway.

In your hidden ".gramps" User Directory.

See the following for the relevant locations by operating system:

Yes, it was.

Submitted the bug.

If so, then you will need to raise a feature request for the third party addon to remember entered username & password.

https://gramps-project.org/bugs/my_view_page.php

By the way have you updated Gramps 5.0-beta1 to the most current Gramps 5.0-rc1 released last week?

Thanks for testing Gramps 5.0 and the addon

Kind regards
Sam
