locale Dates

Bugzilla from laurent.protois@free.fr
Hi,

Alert !!!

Gramps 2.0.1-1 doesn't understand french accents in date (only)
So French Republican Dates appears like this :
"Floréal 3, 4 (Révolutionnaire)" instead of
"3 Floréal 4 (Révolutionnaire)".
You can noticed that date in English format and "Révolutionnaire"
has a good accents.

More bad, if you try to modify this date by clic to the point (red)
you lost the date and can't choose a republican date again (grey zone).

So more Bad ;-[
If you save your xml database into .grdb one then
you loose 80% of your dates ;-[[[
And not only republican one (???)

So Hot !
thanks

Re: locale Dates

Don Allingham
The problem was that the French Republican calendar months were not
properly encoded in the unicode character set. Replace your
DateDisplay.py with the attached file, and the problem should be
resolved.

This file is typically in /usr/share/gramps/
